"Friends for Life" Movie Garners 30th Industry Honor

Friends for Life, the award winning motion picture from Grizzly Adams(tm) Productions, was recently screened at the Attic Film Festival in Austin, Texas. "We're pleased that Friends for Life was selected to be shown during the Attic Film Fest," notes creator/producer Charles E. Sellier. "Ours is a story of redemption: a man in despair is led back to a meaningful, joy-filled life by a pack of young wolves and a rather offbeat angel. This film tells a powerful story of a man moving past a personal tragedy. It's a view of life that much of our audience can relate to in their everyday lives." Friends for Life has been honored by a total of thirty film festivals and film competitions around the world. "Fans of the original Life and Times of Grizzly Adams movies and television series have discovered that this film has many of the same elements: a strong hero, the battle of good versus evil, an environmentally-based noble cause, and animals in the wild," Sellier explains.

Who will be the new Grizzly Adams?

Many people are wondering what actor we will use for the New Grizzly Adams show. Some have pushed hard for the return of Dan Haggerty in that role. I have made the point in our blog that when Dan and I first worked together on the original movie, Dan was 35 years old. That was in August of 1974 - in other words 36 years ago. You do the math, Dan is NOT a very young guy anymore. Using Dan is just not feasible for a number of reasons. i.e., the network executives want young and good looking actors, the role is VERY physical and the new show will be modern day requiring a different "look" than the original that took place in 1845. SO, let's put that discussion aside and instead talk about what we WILL do. My plan is to have a national competition to find the New Grizzly Adams. We will use a system made famous by American Idol. Grizzly Adams 3-D Coming to Movie Theaters Near You

Charles E. Sellier, president of Grizzly Adams(tm) Productions, and Greg Passmore, president of San Diego's 3-D production studio PassmoreLab, just outlined a multi-year deal to convert all of Grizzly Adams' projects currently in development into 3-D experiences. "The majors," explains Grizzly Adams' Sellier, "have proven at the box office that 3-D is the next generation of entertainment trends. We're the first independent film production company to commit all of our future films and much of our current library to this cutting edge technology." Friends for Life will be the first film completed under the Grizzly Adams-PassmoreLab association. The 3-D version will be available for Spring 2010 worldwide theatrical release.

Kingdomwood Film Festival to Showcase Friends for Life

Atlanta, GA-Grizzly Adams Productions' highly acclaimed feature film, Friends for Life, will open the Kingdomwood Christian Film Festival at a red carpet event. The festival is scheduled for October 1-3 at the Mall at Stonecrest in Lithonia, Georgia, about twenty miles east of Atlanta. "We're excited that this is quickly becoming a major film festival for faith-based film projects," explains co-founder Audrey Thomas. "The support has been overwhelming. Our festival has demonstrated there is a strong market for filmmakers working and striving to have their faith-based projects screened and recognized." Friends For Life is about to enter a whole new dimension. San Diego-based PassmoreLab, a state-of-the-art multi-media production studio that specializes in 2-D to 3-D content conversion, is currently working on re-mastering Friends for Life for 3-D release and theatrical exhibition.
